A Cinderella wedding at the famous La Caille Restaurant in Salt Lake City.

What a fairy tale location at the beautiful La Caille Restaurant. The mood gives a rustic castle surrounded by well-manicured grounds with all the things, including peacocks! There's a pond with an adorable teal bridge, ivy covered brick walls, a vineyard, and a view of mill creek canyon.
I set up my easel and go to work on the gorgeous view of the canyon. After I had the basic composition down, the bride began to walk down the aisle. The ceremony was a beautiful celebration of love and commitment. If you would have been there you may have seen a tear or two in my eyes. Though I don't know my couples well, I know the story of love and it gets me every time.
Once we moved indoors theinside reception hall was absolutely stunning. The place was absolutley alive, literally. There were plants growing on the walls and in the corners, with a full-grown tree indoors. The table settings were a sophisticated dusty blue and white with gold silverware. And the food was delicious.
The couple and their guests enjoyed their meal to a live band. After dinner there was the usual toast, cake cutting and then the dancing began.
I worked away on my painting stationed next to the caricature artist.
Towards the end of the night before the send-off the couple came over to see the painting. This is always my favorite part. They absolutely loved it, as you can see by the looks on their faces.
